Apex Legends Guide - How to Get Better at Apex Legends

Apex Legends is a really competitive game. The skill cap is getting larger every day. Here are some of the best techniques you can use to get better at Apex Legends as well.

Play More Arenas

Apex Legends is a first-person shooter that heavily depends on your ability to aim. If you have good aim, you will do quite well in Apex Legends. However, improving your aim and mastering movement and weapon mechanics requires practice, which you can’t get a lot of in the Battle Royale mode.

It takes a long time after landing before you get into a fight with a squad, and if you lose the fight, you have to waste even more time going back to the lobby and queuing up again.

If you want to get some combat practice, the best way to for that is to play the Arena game mode. With this game mode, you get to choose all the weapons you want to get better at, and the combat starts within seconds, which saves a ton of your time.

However, since Arena is a completely different game mode, you will have to play the Battle Royale game mode if you want to get better at the game. Arene will only help you get better aim and combat skills.

Watch Out For The Ring

You'd be surprised to see how many people make this mistake, but many people forget about the ring while looting. However, if the next ring is quite far, you will have a ton of problems while trying to get to the next ring. You will have to deal with the enemies that are also trying to get into the ring. You will also have to deal with the damage from the ring that’s closing in on you. Always make sure that you are watching out for the ring and move accordingly.

Work On Your Teamwork and Communication

Apex Legends is a team-based game. You won't be making much progress if you aren't playing as a team. For this reason, you need to work on your teamwork and communication. Always keep an eye on what your teammates are doing. Help them if they are in the middle of a fight, and give them loot if you have extra, like shield batteries or syringes.

One of the main components of teamwork is communication. You need to communicate with your team and give them valuable information that you have. For example, you might see an enemy coming toward you, and your teammates might not know about that while looting.

The great thing about Apex Legends is that you don't even need to use your mic to communicate effectively. Apex Legends has a great pinging system where you can convey important information with the press of a button. With this system, you can ping the location where you want to loot, ping weapons for your teammates, ask for ammo, and alert teammates about enemies.

Control The Urge To Push Every Fight

It can be quite tempting to push as you see enemies from a distance. However, there is a huge probability that another team is watching those same enemies, waiting for a squad to attack them so they can third-party both of them. For this reason, it is necessary to control your urge to push and wait until you see the right opportunity for taking the fight.

However, this only applies when you are trying to rank up. If you are playing casual and don't really care if you win or not, then you can take every fight you see. However, you should keep in mind that if you die, you will have to go through the complete process of going back into the lobby and searching for a game.

Don’t Switch Legends Often

Apex Legends has tons of great legends that you can try out. However, switching from one legend to another every other game is not a good idea. If you do that, you will get confused about what abilities you should use.

In one game, you press "Q" to heal yourself because you are playing as Lifeline. In the next match, you will press  "Q" again, thinking you are about to heal yourself, but you will throw smoke in front of you instead because you picked Bangalore this round. If you want to try out other Legends, at least give it a week before you switch to another one.

Try To Get Higher Framerates & Get Rid Of Lag

No matter how talented you are, you won't be able to reach your max potential if you are getting a low framerate and your game keeps on lagging. First of all, make sure that your computer is capable of cranking out over a hundred frames per second. After that, lower the settings to get as much FPS as possible.

Getting rid of lag is not that easy, especially network lag. There are tons of potential issues, and it can take hours before you can get them resolved. However, there is a way that you can get rid of all kinds of network-related issues with the press of a button. You can do that with WTFast.

WTFast is a Gamer's Private Network that will connect your connection to a network that is much more stable and optimized for game data flow. With WTFast, issues like rubberbanding, lag, ping spikes, and packet loss will get instantly eliminated.

Watch E-Sports Tournaments For Apex Legends

One of the best ways to get better at Apex Legends is by watching the pros play. When you watch major tournaments, you get an idea about what things are currently in the meta. It might not feel that important at first. However, doing this will give you a massive edge over players that don't watch the tournaments.

Final Thoughts

While these strategies are great, and you should definitely try them, there is no greater method for getting better at Apex Legends than practice. So, don't forget to play the game regularly.
