The world of video games is ever increasing, with news on new games, expansions, and gaming hardware surfacing on the internet almost every day. And since everyone cant be online at all times, looking at everything that is being announced, we thought we should do something about it. So, let’s begin!

The 3070ti 16GB and 3080 12GB Get Delayed

By now almost everyone is familiar with the chip shortage that has been plaguing the world. For those who don’t know, the stagnant supply of silicon chips that have not been able to meet the insanely high demand that rose recently has caused the prices of these chips and the products that are made from them to skyrocket. One victim of this price hike is GPUs which have affected tons of gamers from around the world. Due to this shortage, NVidia has delayed the launch of their new variants for the existing 30 series graphics cards, namely the 3070ti 16GB variant and the 3080 12GB variant.

We Are Finally Getting Colored Side Panel Options for the PlayStation 5

The all-new next-gen gaming console by Sony, the PlayStation 5, launched back in November 2020. It has a sleek and modern design that most gamers generally like. However, the side panels of this new gaming console were only available in white color. This got fans upset as not all gamers prefer their gaming setup to be in a white color theme.

Although third-party manufacturers tried to solve this issue by launching their own side panels of different colors that could be fitted onto any PlayStation 5, Sony was quick to shut all those operations down with cease and desist letters. After waiting for a long time, Sony finally announced their own custom side panels for the PlayStation 5 available in several different colors, including black. The shipping for these side panels starts in January and they will be coming with a price tag of 75 USD.

NFTs Removed From S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

A few days ago, the developers for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R game series announced that their latest game S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 will be connected to NFTs. This is not the first game to dabble into the world of crypto and the NFT space. However, this is certainly one of the larger studios to include NFTs.

Gamers usually do not like to have content being locked behind a paywall. It is also the reason why most gamers don’t like the whole concept of NFTs. After hearing that S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 would be getting an NFT system, fans of the franchise got pretty mad, to say the least. Taking note of this backlash, the developers for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series have decided to remove NFTs from S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2.
