Must-Play Games Releasing In 2022

2021 has been an absolute blast for gamers. This year we have seen some of the most anticipated game launches including, Resident Evil Village and FarCry 6. As we got our hands on these games and were able to experience these marvels, there was no room left for disappointment.

2021 is nearing its end and we gamers are even more hyped for 2022 because the coming year seems to be even more jam-packed with great game releases. Some of the games that were set to launch in 2021 have been delayed to 2022. This makes 2022 even more exciting. Here are some of the most anticipated PC games that are set to launch in 2022.

Elden Ring

A brand new action role play game developed by FormSoftware is all set to launch in January 2022. The game is set in a fantasy world. This place is called the realm of Lands Between. You will experience a time after the destruction of the Elden Ring with its shards scattered.

The game is promising to present a breathtaking experience because of two prominent personalities involved in its production. We are talking about Hidetaka Miyazaki, the creator of Dark Souls, and Hidetaka Miyazaki, the author of Game of Thrones. The game will be a collaboration between the two.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl

Most gamers have been waiting for this game to launch since 2007 when the first entry in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series came out. That game was S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and, it blew us away with the thrilling post-nuclear wasteland that it had us experience.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl was first announced back in 2010 but has been delayed ever since. It even got canceled several times. The biggest hiccup came for its developers, GSC Game World, in 2011 with the company facing several financial problems. GSC Game World somehow managed to get out of this downfall in 2014 and the game was back in production.

Just like its prequel, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is set in a post-nuclear world with tons of mutated creatures. The game is all set to launch in April 2022. Expect a thrilling and terrifying gameplay experience with a serious upgrade in graphics from its prequel.

Gotham Knights

Have you ever wanted to play as Batgirl in a game set in Gotham City? Well now is your chance. With Gotham Knights all set to launch on sometime in 2022, you will be able to play as Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood. You will attempt to rid Gotham city of all crime trying to fight classic Batman villains including Mr. Freeze. The game has no official launch date yet.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is based on the Avatar film series and is also set in the same universe. From what we have seen in the trailer, the game looks exceptionally beautiful. One of the reasons for this is that Frontiers of Pandora is built on the latest version of the Snowdrop engine. Get ready to experience an adventure in the lush jungles of Pandora. No exact date is given to us yet but, it seems as it will launch in 2022.

Redfall

We love a good Co-Op game that lets us kill monsters or zombies with friends. With Redfall, we will have to deal with a whole town full of blood-thirsty vampires. It seems that the game will present a unique and fun experience to the Co-Op FPS genre.

Redfall will place you and your friends in an island town of Redfall, Massachusetts. You will have to fight your way through a whole swarm of vampires. These vampires came after a scientific experiment went wrong. You and your friends can play as either of the four characters that are stuck in this town. The game is all set to launch in the summer of 2022 and will be an Xbox plus Microsoft Windows exclusive.

Starfield

Starfield is an action role-playing video game that is being developed by 'Bethesda Game Studios'. Bethesda Game Studios are the same developers who brought us great games like Fallout 3 and Fallout 4. It will be interesting to see how they take on the Si-Fi space genre.

Starfield's setting is space-themed, with you playing as a space explorer. The game takes place nearly 300 years in the future. Starfield going to launch in November of 2022.

The Outlast Trials

If you are a fan of the horror game genre, then you will probably know about "The Outlast Trials". For those who don't know, The Outlast Trials is a first-person psychological horror survival video game that is set to launch in 2022. The game was first teased back in October of 2019.

Forspoken

Forspoken is an action role-playing game that has been praised for its unique movement and traversal mechanics since its trailer was released. The game features several different types of ultra-realistic trains on which players can move in a fast and fluid motion.

The game is set in a fantasy world called Athia where you play as a character who is sent in Athia from New York. The game also features magical abilities that you can use to survive.

A Plague Tale Requiem

"A plague Tale: Innocence" really hit us hard with its emotional story. The game was heavily influenced by "The Last of Us". The game managed to take us on an emotional roller-coaster. The ending for it left fans waiting for a sequel and it looks like it is exactly what we are going to get. A Plague Tale: Requiem has been announced and will probably launch sometime in 2022. It seems that we will again go through the emotional roller-coaster again in 2022.

The year 2022 is jam-packed with highly anticipated games. We are super excited for games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl and Elden Ring. As several games have already been delayed from 2021, there is no telling if games in this list are going to get delayed any further.

That is it for now but stay tuned as we are going to be bringing you more exciting news about the world of video games in the coming days. Until then, hit us up on any one of our socials and let us know which games out of these are you most excited about.
