Best Classes in Battlefield 2042

Fans of the Battlefield franchise have been waiting for a modern military style battlefield game for over five years now. With the recent launch of Battlefield 2042, it seems that the wait is finally over. With the launch of Battlefield 2042, players are anticipating what the best weapons and classes are going to be.

Battlefield 2042 deals with the class system in a unique way. With the previous battlefield games, players could choose from different classes, with each one of them having access to specific gadgets and weapons. For example, a recon class would have access to sniper rifles and other recon-related gadgets.

With Battlefield 2042, players can use any weapon they like regardless of the specialist they choose, while each specialist has access to unique specialties like the wingsuit and deployable shield. Let's discuss some of the best classes you can make in Battlefield 2042 by combining different weapons and specialists.

The Anchor Class – Boris Plus LCMG

While entering an enemy objective and trying to capture it, Boris can prove to be a great specialist because of his specialties. Boris comes equipped with the SG-36 Sentry Gun, which can be an absolute disaster for enemies that have occupied the objective that you are trying to capture. All you have to do is place down this country gun, and it will automatically start shooting enemies that come near you.

With the help of the “Sentry Operator” specialty, the enemy targets that are locked on by the SG-35 Sentry Gun get spotted and highlighted. This can prove to be very helpful while you are anchoring down at an enemy objective. In this situation, you may have to deal with a lot of enemies at once, and it is not easy spotting several different enemies coming from all directions.

The LCMG is the perfect combination for the anchor class. While Boris is trying to anchor down at an objective and dealing with several enemies at once, the LCMG has all the right features to assist him in this situation. The LCMG is an LMG so you will not have to worry about reloading. The LCMG is also much stable in terms of recoil and packs a lot of punch.

The Defender Class – Irish Plus SFAR-M GL

Trying to capture an enemy objective with a complete squad is one thing, but trying to defend an objective that the enemy is trying to take over while waiting for your teammates to arrive is another story. For this task, there is no better specialist than Irish. Irish is one of the best defense specialists in the game at the moment because all his specialties are catered exactly for this task.

The main specialty of Irish is his "Fortification System". This specialty allows him to place down a bulletproof cover that is also see-through from the top half. Irish can use this cover quite effectively while trying to defend an objective by taking cover while getting shot at and quickly peeking when he gets a chance to shoot an enemy. While trying to defend, it is not just bullets that you have to worry about. You can also be hit by explosive projectiles like rocket launchers etc. This is where the APS-36 comes into play which is a device that shoots down any incoming projectiles.

The best weapon for this kind of playstyle is the SFAR-M GL. This weapon packs a huge punch with only one drawback, which is that your accuracy takes a massive hit while you are moving. But this is not a problem while defending because you will mostly stay behind your cover. In this situation, the SFAR-M GL assault rifle becomes a force to reckon with.

The Flanker – Sundance Plus PP-29

When it comes to flaking in an aggressive and in-your-face style gameplay, the one thing that makes the most difference and is most helpful is mobility. This is exactly where the "Sundance" specialist shins the most. Her wingsuit allows her to go practically anywhere. All she needs to start gliding is a few meters of elevation. The hang time for her glider is so long that even after jumping from a few meters she can cover a huge distance.

Sundance is best used while flanking. Her glide ability allows her to enter the enemy territory without being detected. This is because, from a distance, no one usually notices her while she is gliding. People are usually looking for helicopters and planes in Battlefield. Once in enemy territory, she can easily kill off unsuspected enemies, after getting a flank on them. If there are a lot of enemies, she can use her smart explosives to kill multiple enemies at once.

The PP-29 best suits this kind of aggressive flanking playstyle. The PP-29 has a super high RPM, which works best in close-quarter combats. The PP-29 also has tons of rounds in its mag so players don't have to worry about reloading mid-fight. With SMGs, players usually have to deal with tons of recoil but, surprisingly the PP-29 is extremely controllable.

The Support – Angel Plus Med Crate

If you don't care about unique specialties and just want a specialist that is best for almost any first-person shooter, the Angel is for you. Angel is not a solo specialist, unlike other specialists. His specialties are designed to be useful for the team. If there is an Angel in your team, your team can become super hard to deal with.

Angel can resupply his squad with armor and ammo. Both these are scarce items in the game. Along with this, Angel can also call in a beacon that allows players to swap their loadouts mid-game. When you combine this with a med-crate, and Angel's ability to revive his allies with bonus armor, the team will become practically invincible.

While these suggestions are made after carefully testing each one in the game, they are subjected to change. This is because a simple update may change the stats of some of the weapons, or may even change the effectiveness of a specialist. So we recommend looking out for updates, looking at what changes they are bringing to the game, and adapting accordingly.
