This Week in Gaming: Jan 8 - Jan 14 2022
The world of video games is ever increasing, with news on new games, expansions, and gaming hardware surfacing on the internet almost every day. And since everyone cant be online at all times, looking at everything that is being announced, we thought we should do something about it. So, to help bring the news to everyone, we are going to be updating the world about what all is happening in the gaming industry. Think of it as a recap.
So, let’s begin!
Apex Legends Rampage Gets Nerfed
About a week ago, the latest LMG 'Rampage' was removed from apex legends due to a glitch that allowed players to have it charged up infinitely. Now the weapon is added back into the game after fixing the glitch. However, the glitch fix is not the only change for Rampage, as the LMG has now been nerfed as well. The damage has been lowered from 28 per shot down to 26 per shot.
Battlefield Community Outraged Over Tweets from Battlefield 2042 Developers
After update 3 for Battlefield 2042, the staff of the studio went on a break. It is this week that all the staff members are back to work. One of the developers posted a tweet saying they were on a break and are now working on the game to make it better.
However, the tweet also stated that things that the community is asking for take time to design and implement. This is the part that got everyone outraged as the main things that the Battlefield community is asking for include a scoreboard, a proper server browser, and many other basic elements that were always present in previous battlefield games. This outrage has mostly been seen on the official Battlefield 2042 subreddit. After an announcement from the moderators of the subreddit it seems that it will go on lockdown for some time due to increased toxicity.

A New Bug Reduces Recoil in Battlefield 2042
Along with the tons of issues plaguing Battlefield 2042 right now, the ones that the community hates the most are the never-ending swarm of bugs that keep popping up here and there.
The latest addition to the bug list for Battlefield 2042 is a recoil glitch. This glitch allows players to reduce the recoil of their weapons by as much as 25%. The glitch activates after adding an attachment using the plus system. However, the worst part is that attachments that have nothing to do with the recoil whatsoever, like weapon scope, also reduce recoil with this glitch.

The PlayStation 5 May Get a Tournament Feature
The PlayStation 5 may be getting a tournament feature as announced recently by Sony. There are not many details on this feature, but it seems that it will be added to the game console sometime this year. This is a great feature for the PlayStation 5 community as they will now be able to host and run events.
Major Cheat Distributor for PUBG Mobile Looses Lawsuit against PUBG Developers
The official verdict for a court case between PUBG developers and a hacking group is here. The court ruling is in favor of the developers, ordering the hack distributors to pay a hefty sum of about ten million dollars for the damages done to the developers. This is a great step in making the game much more playable and a sign that other hack distributors are not safe. One thing is certain for now that PUBG mobile will attract tons of players that left the game due to hackers. Maybe developers for other games may start taking action against cheat distributors as well.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus Gameplay Trailer Looks Amazing
Pokémon Legends: Arceus just got a new gameplay trailer. The reveal trailer for the game that came out a while back did not look that great. As a reaction to the reveal trailer, the community started to speculate if the game will even look good at launch. However, with the gameplay trailer, most things are cleared out. The game seems much more promising with great-looking visuals and a detailed environment. As observed by the gameplay trailer, the performance is also much better, with the game running at a much more stable framerate.
