PokéPark KANTO

PokePark KANTO has me daydreaming about reviving my old Pokemon Go account and booking a flight to Tokyo. I was addicted to Pokemon Go, and have fond memories of visiting new places and swiping away at my phone ignoring the beautiful scenery. Airport layovers were a blast. Time flew as I stalked the hallways for new Pokemon and Gyms. And of course, trying to find charging outlets, and finally getting smart and bringing a portable charger. Never mind begging my kids to create an account and going on Poke Walks with me.

Excited?

But not everyone is excited about the PokePark. Many were expecting the exciting news from Pokemon to be a new video game, and were seriously let down to find out it was ‘only’ a Pokemon Park. Others were sore over the fact that this amazing park is all the way over in Japan, so basically inaccessible for almost the entire population of Pokemon fans.

Many are pumped and can’t wait to spend hours - days even! - exploring the Pokemon Park and catching them all! Imagine: an entire park filled with your favorite Pokemon and likely some very rare and exquisitely powerful Pokemon to add to their collection.

What You Need to Know

PokePark Kanto will be opening its gates early 2026 and will cover 26,000 square meters in Yomiuriland, located in Tama Hills, Tokyo. It will feature a Pokemon forest, Sedge Town, a Trainer’s Gym, and of course a market full of Pokemon Swag. Also, be prepared to come face to face with your favorite Pokemon in statue form throughout the park. Don’t miss Primeria Fountain for a special experience, and enjoy the small selection of rides.
