Marvel Rivals Mid-Season Patch Brings Major Balance Changes to Groot, Spider-Man, and More

Groot and Spider-Man Lead the Changes

The latest mid-season patch for Marvel Rivals has landed, bringing major balance tweaks to some of the most popular heroes. Groot, the lovable tree guardian, now has improved healing capabilities, making him a stronger support option.

However, the update has somewhat loosened his crowd control to maintain balance. While maintaining his agility and mobility, Spider-Man's burst damage is reduced, making him less formidable in one-on-one combat.

Tweaks Across the Roster

The changes don’t stop there. Storm’s powerful area control has been scaled back slightly, and Iron Man’s energy beam now comes with a longer cooldown to reduce its frequency in combat. Black Panther gains a little more durability on the defensive end, which enables him to hold out longer in fierce battles.

Bug Fixes and Enhancements to Quality of Life

In addition to hero balancing, this patch addresses several quality-of-life concerns. The whole experience is now more fluid and player-friendly thanks to improvements made to the user interface, matchmaking, and hit register. These improvements demonstrate a strong dedication to taking user comments into consideration.

A Strong Step Forward for Marvel Rivals

Overall, this mid-season update shows a careful effort to game improvement and balance. Now is a perfect time to go back into the game or start playing for the first time because more heroes will probably be added in future releases. Whether you’re a Groot main or just getting into the action, Marvel Rivals is only getting better.
