5 Best Upcoming MMORPGs To Look Out For in 2022 | WTFast

Who doesn't love a good MMORPG to play and have fun with their friends while playing it? With MMORPGs, you get to play as knights, warriors, or maybe monsters as you explore huge and amazing worlds with tons of quests and missions. The best part is that you get to do all that with some of your best friends.

It is exactly the reason why there are tons of MMORPGs available right now, with millions of players playing them. Fortunately for you, the list of MMORPGs is about to get even bigger. Several new MMORPGs are coming out in 2022. Here is our take on the best 5 upcoming MMORPGs to look out for in 2022.

Lost Ark

For gamers that live in South Korea, this is not something new. Gamers from South Korea have been able to enjoy this game for nearly three years now, and from what appears, they have been having a hell of a blast playing it. The game managed to win a total of six awards in 2019 at the Korean Game Awards. Needless to say that the game is very popular.

However, gamers from the West haven't been able to experience the full glory of what Lost Ark is, as it has not been officially launched here. That is, until now. The game is now finally available for gamers from the West to play and have fun. Also, did we mention that the game is free-to-play? In other words, you won't be required to spend a single penny to play the game.

Lost Ark is an MMORPG that primarily focuses on PvE instead of PvP, which is the case with most MMORPGs these days. It is also what most MMORPG fans love about these games. It is probably because of how well crafted the whole PvE system of MMORPGs is. With Lost ARK, you get to battle tons of monsters and experience a classic "angels vs demons" story. From what people currently think about Lost Ark, its story is often compared to Final Fantasy XIV, and most people claim that the overall gameplay resembles Diablo, which is a major compliment for it.

Lost Ark has tons of potential in 2022. It has proven itself in the South Korean market and it's time that it proves itself in the Western market as well. However, despite how well it performed in South Korea, only time will tell how it will perform in the West.

Path Of Exile 2

Oh boy, we have been waiting for this game for quite a while now. At first, the news was that the beta version of the game would be released sometime in 2020. This was not a confirmation. However, both the developers and fans had a strong conviction for this beta release.

However, we all know what happened as 2020 began. Video game delays are the least of the problems that the world had to deal with because of the pandemic. Also, the release date for Path of Exile 2 got delayed further to 2021. However, if that was true, this game wouldn't be on this list now, would it? Yup, that's right, the game got delayed again from 2022.

Path of Exile 2 will not be a sequel to the original game in the traditional sense. However, with Path of Exile 2, players will have access to a lot more new content than what was available before. Path of Exile 2 will introduce a new main campaign on top of the one that is already available for the original game, and it will be leading towards the same endgame that the original game led to. Along with that, some major overhauls will be made to the game's mechanics, including the progression, which a lot of players have been asking for.

While we all are expecting that the game will be released this year in 2022, there is no official confirmation for this. Many other rumors suggest that the game might get delayed to 2023.

League of Legends MMO

What if we were to tell you that the same developers that brought us the popular MOBA game League of Legends are working on an MMORPG? Yup, that's right,  Riot games are working on a brand new MMORPG.

While we don't know much about the game so far, there have been rumors that the game will have the same lore as League of Legends. If you love the lore of League of Legends, you will surely enjoy this MMORPG.

Just as there is not much information about the game itself, there is also not much information about its launch date. Hopefully, we will get some more info on the game in 2022.

World of Warcraft Dragonflight Expansion

Technically, this is not an upcoming title. World of Warcraft was released back in 2004, so gamers have been enjoying this game for a long time now. However, because of the tons of content that the Dragonflight Expansion is bringing to the game and the massive popularity of World of Warcraft, we just had to include it in this best five list. It is certainly one of the best MMORPGs to look out for in 2022.

Let's take a look at what we will be getting with the World of Warcraft Dragonflight Expansion. First of all, Blizzard will be introducing a completely new creature class with the Dragonflight Expansion. This class is called the Dracthyr Evokers. What's special about this new class you may ask? Well, for starters, you will be able to switch between two forms with one being a normal human and the other being a dragon humanoid. Secondly, when Dracthyr Evokers will be in their dragon form, they will be able to use their wings to fly. Also, they will be able to use their claws as weapons.

The second major change coming to World of Warcraft with the Dragonflight Expansion is the massive overhaul that Blizzard is doing to the Talent Tree system. This time, the trees will be divided into two more categories. It will allow players to focus on one specific area for their character.

Along with that, there are tons of other changes that are coming to World of Warcraft. With the Dragonflight Expansion, we are essentially getting a complete overhaul of the game. There will be a new UI, new interface options, new features, and tons of quality of life changes. If that wasn't enough, the maximum level for characters is also being increased to 70. All of those things sound great, and we are looking forward to when Dragonflight Expansion comes to the game. However, only time will tell if the community likes it or not.

Ashes of Creation

Ashes of Creation is one of the few games that manages to get the whole MMORPG community excited as some new footage for the game gets released. The hype for the game is just on another level. It is also amongst our most anticipated MMORPG games.

The main thing that sets Ashes of Creation apart from all other MMORPGs is how the players are able to build the in-game world around them. This is thanks to the unique node system that the game employs. Players will be able to build their own buildings on the map. The content of the server that players are in will be dynamic.

There is no official release date for Ashes of creation. We can only hope that it won't take much longer for it to launch. How the game is received by the audience will also be determined when it launches.

WTFast

All those games are great, and it looks like 2022 is going to be a great year for MMORPG fans. We will have lots more options to choose from. However, there is one major issue that some players might have to deal with, which is lag. Not only that, but players may have to deal with some other network-related issues like ping spikes and packet loss as well.

There are tons of reports of MMORPGs feeling laggy and having other network issues. So if a new MMORPG that you are looking forward to starts to lag, it would not be an enjoyable experience.

The worst part about lag and other network issues is that there are not a lot of fixes that have a hundred percent success rate. It also requires tons of time and effort to diagnose the issue that is causing lag. Not everyone has tons of time for that. If you are suffering from lag right now or are worried that you might, then WTFast is the one-stop solution to all your network-related problems.

WTFast is a gamers' private network that eliminates all kinds of network issues like lag, ping spikes, rubberbanding, and more. It works by switching your connection onto a network that is optimized for game data flow.
